its new facilities. Well worth the
visit with easy access,
located just off I-95 at the Triangle Exit (Quantico Main Gate).
Turn south on US 1 at the light and travel about 100 yards,
Museum is on the
right. Open 9 till 5.

The Volunteers of the Unites States Marine Corps Museum would like to welcome you to our web site. This site is not an official US Marine Corps site, but created and maintained by those of us who have volunteered to help in the effort of preserving the Heritage of the Corps. With this we dedicate our efforts and this site to the memory of those men and women from The United States Marines who served and sacrificed for the freedom we all enjoy today. With the scarcity of valuable resources, growth of collections and plans for the future the Volunteer has become a key component of the USMC Museum organization. As Volunteers we come from a wide variety of backgrounds and bring to the organization a wealth of skills and knowledge. A variety of museum disciplines are open to the Volunteer program. Volunteers work directly with the professional staff at the USMCM who provide training and supervision for all that wish to dedicate their time and effort to assist with this preservation effort. Through this web site we hope to provide a view into a few of the projects that are now underway in which Volunteers are an integral part. |
